Ford F-150 SVT Raptor is one of the best truck in the market. This 4×4 pickup has 6.2 liter V8 enigne with 35 inch tires for any terrain. The rear paint job also makes it looks like it has been shredded by talons.

However, the Hennessey VelociRaptor 500 is a lot more cooler. The car was made by Hennesey Performance in Sealy, Texas. This truck has 810 horsepower twin turbo rig to double the power output of the standard Raptor. It has an aluminum pistons, dual intercoolers, steel conrods, electronic boost controller, stainless steel exhaust pipes, high end engine management system, and off-road fun. The VelociRaptor goes from 0 to 60 in only 5.6 seconds. The price for this truck is $ 72,000.

The other hot trucks of 2011 according to Forbes is the Cadillac Escalade EXT and Toyota Tundra Sportsman Edition. Those are two of the few trucks model that might claim to be more or less in the same level with the Hennessey’s creation. It is said that trucks has comprise 54% of the total auto market. They are including in the highest profit per vehicle of any car category. It is also said that they are outselling cars in the highest margin in nearly five years.

2013 Volkswagen Up! As London Taxi Concept

2013 Volkswagen As London Taxi Concept

The Volkswagen’s paint and styling department is keeping themselves busy. Based on the coming soon Up! microcar model, this fully electric microvan has been shown in some big cities. After the Milan, Berlin, and Hong Kong, the London version is now come. It might be a culture shock for UK, who are used to the retro styled black cabs.

However, this car still has the retro feel on the whitewall tires of this London Taxi concept. The Up! variant is said to be launched in 2012 or 2013. It will come with the regular three door. The car is set to do its debut in the Frankfurt auto show in next September. I think it will come to the market and start selling in a short time after the auto show.

This microvan taxi concept will offering the huge capacity to the regular customers. Instead of a front passenger seat, the car is giving an area for cargo. It means that the car will only has one door on the right side. This might be the deal breaker in London, but this is the left-handed-drive concept. The taxi treatment includes robust, beige seats, and two touch screens next to the driver and on the passenger compartment to show fare information and the local weather and news.

BMW 1-Series Coupe And Convertible Upgrade

BMW 1-Series Coupe And Convertible

The BMW 1-series coupe and convertible get their first major upgrades in 2011. The car which was introduced as 2008 models will get a single turbo engine for the 135i and an optional dual clutch automated manual transmission. It seems that BMW can’t leave well enough alone. The company has already launched the additional changes for 2012 1er coupe and convertible.

The new headlight units feature a frosted brow, but it is still appear similar to the current car. The taillinghts is now match the other BMWs by incorporating hockey stick style accents. Those are also rendered with LEDs on cars with active xenon headlamps.

Both of 128i coupe and convertible will get something that BMW calls as the ‘air curtain’. It is basically a special ducting built for the front fascia. The system was initially announced for the upcoming 1-series M coupe. It will routes air from a pair of intakes in the front fascia into the outside of the front wheels. It will form a high speed wall like a curtain. The curtain will then smoothes the airflow in that area. In the Inside, the BMW 1-series will gets new switch gear and a new gloss white trim. It provides a cleaner look and will hide the scratches better than a black trim.

2012 Lamborghini Aventador Future Car

2012 Lamborghini Aventador Future Car

Take a close look on the picture above. That is the picture of Lamborghini’s brimstone respiring replacement for Murcielago. The car is guaranteed to be named the Aventador LP700-4. From the picture, this car will be very much like other Lamborghini’s flagship car which were feral and fulgar.

This Lamborghini Aventador’s bulging front fender is dominating the car’s profile. However it will be impossible to miss the air intake behind the driver’s door. This air intake is pretty big so I think it won’t be difficult for you to see. This intake will be gulping the air for the all new 6.5 liter V-12 engine. The outstanding stoppers is also available at all the four corners. This is the requirement when the brakes have to bear 700 hp and 509lb-ft of torque.

Rather than using steel or aluminum, This Lamborghini Aventador is using a carbon fiber monocoque. This is similar in theory if not using the sesto elemento concept which will makes the weight down. The trick is by a single clutch transmission that the company claims will shifts faster than the dual clutch unit. Unfortunately Lamborghini won’t allow any instrumented testing on their prototypes. But I think it will still be a great supercar.

Chrysler Will Be Profitable Again In 2011

Chrysler, which was in a bankruptcy state less than a year ago, will be profitable again in the end of 2011. The company which also received a bail out loans from the government of the U.S. was finally rescued from bankruptcy by an Italian car giant, Fiat. Fiat’s boss Sergio Marchionne said that he expected to pay those loans back soon.

Marchionne said in the Detroit auto show, that he is expecting if everything goes according to plan, they will be able to repay the U.S. government loans in 2011. The Fiat’s boss is also expecting for more consolidation in the car industry such as a company merging or alliance forming. However, he think that this year will be a little quite in this front. “A lot has happened last year, and I think 2011 will be quieter to give the time for the industry to settle again,” he said.

He is also admitted that Fiat is still on their way to make an acquisitions if the opportunities has come. Marchionne predicted that the sales market will be a lot more stable for this year. He expect to see some return to economic normality, although there are still some problems in Ireland, Spain, and Portugal.
